About Speaker:
Dr. Emili Banerjee is a Geneticist and Genetic Counselor with 21 years of experience studying human genetics. She holds a Ph.D. focusing on ADHD and Serotonin system genes and has conducted post-doctoral research on Parkinson's disease proteomics. Since 2019, Dr. Banerjee has actively worked as a genetic counselor, providing guidance and support to individuals and families dealing with genetic conditions. She is known for her expertise in clinical genetics, cytogenetics, and bioinformatics analysis of human genetics. Dr. Banerjee is also an advocate for public awareness and education, having published articles and interviews on genetic counseling in various magazines. She serves as a Genetic Consultant at MFC Woman and Child Care and has been a guest faculty in the Department of Genetics at the University of Calcutta.
